The Village of Luss

Loch Lomond Road to Islay Tarbet

Links to pages in the Road to Islay

Luss is a pretty little conservation village between the main road and Loch Lomond. It is owned by Luss Estates and has been kept largely unchanged for the past 100 years. So typical and unspoiled in fact that it is used as Glendarroch in STV’s soap “High Road”.

If you turn off at either of the well marked exits you will find plenty of parking and can explore on foot. There are several nice cafes and shops in the village if you would like to break your journey.

Make sure you walk down to the tiny pier for spectacular views over the Loch.
